Onyx Software Achieves Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server Certification
Certification of XML-Based Platform Re-Affirms Strength of Microsoft Alliance

Bellevue, Wash. - Onyx Software Corporation (NASDAQ: ONXS) has passed the certification program for Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Server and Advanced Server. The rigorous testing process, conducted by an independent PC testing lab, validates that Onyx applications can leverage the reliability and scalability built into the Microsoft Windows 2000 platform, providing a lower cost of ownership for joint Onyx and Microsoft customers.

Onyx received certification for Onyx Enterprise Application Server (OEAS), the company’s new XML-based customer management platform. OEAS is designed to give large, complex enterprises a single, flexible platform for effectively managing mission-critical customer and partner relationships in a highly personalized and targeted way. The object-based OEAS platform enables customers to integrate directly to other enterprise-class systems and middleware products through industry standard technologies, including Extensible Markup Language (XML), Component Object Model (COM) or Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP).
