Onyx Software Extends Support of IBM Technologies
Announces General Availability of Onyx Enterprise CRM 4.0 on IBM AIX Platform and Support for Powerful New IBM POWER4+ Midrange Server

BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corp. (Nasdaq: ONXS), a worldwide leader in successful CRM, today announced its support of IBM's (NYSE: IBM ) AIX Platform and the new IBM eServer pSeries 650, which was introduced today. This increased support for IBM technology significantly expands Onyx's addressable market for CRM, bringing the power of highly scalable technology to the UNIX midrange market.

"Delivery of the IBM AIX platform is a key component of the IBM/Onyx relationship and increases Onyx's support of IBM technologies," said Eben Frankenberg, executive vice president of Onyx Software. "We pride ourselves on delivering bottom-line success to our customers, which means our offering with IBM must perform as promised. The IBM eServer p650 in combination with Onyx Enterprise CRM 4.0 software provides customers with a highly reliable, scalable e-business platform."

Greater Efficiency and Flexibility Complement Onyx Enterprise CRM Strengths
With IBM's newest, fastest 64-bit microprocessor, POWER4+, the IBM eServer p650 in combination with Onyx Enterprise CRM 4.0 software provides customers with an ideal platform on which to run the database layer of Onyx Enterprise CRM.

In addition, the p650 offers superior flexibility with dynamic partitioning, allowing for up to eight partitions and enabling consolidation of applications and servers, which can result in operational cost and performance efficiencies. The IBM eServer p650 runs the AIX(R) operating system, including the new AIX 5L(tm) version 5.2, and Linux*, or both in partitions.

Onyx Enterprise CRM integrates sales, marketing, and service operations throughout an enterprise to manage the multiple dimensions of customer and partner relationships. Onyx CRM is a single, unified application comprised of portals for tailoring functionality to different user communities, intuitive web interfaces for ease of navigation and a web-services platform for interoperability with other business systems. Companies large and small have successfully deployed Onyx CRM, efficiently scaling from 50 to more than 5,000 users in live production environments.

Support for IBM AIX Platform
As part of its support, Onyx has developed the Onyx SQL Generator. This data-driven engine intelligently translates XML into SQL code that is optimized for whatever platform the customer deploys. The vendor-specific SQL code takes advantage of the unique features of each database application, leading to superior performance.

"We are delighted to welcome Onyx as a key partner on our AIX platform. The relationship between Onyx and IBM is ultimately about delivering CRM solutions on proven technology to customers," said Per Larsen, vice president, IBM eServer pSeries.
