Dec 13, 99 Onyx Software Announces ASPiN Global Hosting Initiative
Interest in rapidly deployable Web-based CRM by companies of all sizes drives Onyx ASP Network
Bellevue, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corporation (NASDAQ: ONXS), a leading provider of Web-based customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, today announced Onyx ASPiN, a comprehensive partner network for delivering hosted front office solutions. Onyx ASPiN is a select group of software, hardware and services companies working together and independently to promote and deliver a wide-ranging set of unique hosted offerings based on the Onyx Front Office product family. Onyx ASPiN partners include: Breakaway Solutions (NASDAQ: BWAY), Eggrock Partners, Foreshock, FutureLink (NASDAQ: FLNK), Interliant (NASDAQ: INIT), Packeteer (NASDAQ: PKTR), StrataSource, and Unisys New Zealand Ltd.
The formation of Onyx ASPiN represents the second phase of Onyx Software's ASP strategy. Onyx is a founding member of the ASP Industry Consortium and first entered the ASP market more than a year ago. Despite the ASP market's infancy, the number of Onyx ASP customers is increasing rapidly and Onyx has participated heavily in promoting the value of ASP solutions which include reduction of risk, rapid delivery, lower IT costs, increased reliability and lower total cost of ownership. In the third phase of Onyx's ASP program, Onyx will make hosted options available to every Onyx customer regardless of where they buy, who provides implementation services, and whether they want to pay up front from capital budgets or on per-month, per-user expense basis.
