Onyx Software Dominates CRM Magazine's 2003 CRM Leaders Awards
Onyx Software Named #1 in the Mid-Market; Onyx Customer UPMC Health Plan Wins for Channel Management Innovation; Onyx Executives Included on CRM Magazine's Most Influential Leaders List

BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corp. (NASDAQ: ONXS), worldwide leader in successful customer relationship management (CRM), recently walked away with four awards from CRM Magazine's 2003 CRM Leaders Awards. Onyx Software was the only enterprise or mid-market CRM suite vendor to be recognized for excellence in all three areas evaluated by CRM Magazine: ROI excellence in customer companies, individual achievement, and vendor leadership. The awards were announced at the DCI CRM Conference & Expo on Tuesday, August 26 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Onyx Chief Executive Officer, Brent Frei and Onyx Chief Technology Officer, Mary Reeder named to list of Most Influential CRM Leaders
The Influential Leaders award spotlights the movers and shakers in CRM who have left an indelible mark on either their industry or their company this past year. Onyx Software's Chief Executive Officer, Brent Frei and Onyx's Chief Technology Officer, Mary Reeder, received top honors in the Influential Leaders category as the "ones to watch." Frei and Reeder were honored for their efforts in moving CRM technology to the next level with Onyx's web services architecture and Embedded CRM, a unique model that enables partners to deliver CRM tailored to specific customer segments and needs.

UPMC Health Plan honored with a CRM Elite award for outstanding ROI
The CRM Elite award showcases the best recent results and ROI among CRM users in six categories. Onyx Software customer UPMC Health Plan, a Pittsburgh-based health benefits company, won the CRM Elite award in the best PRM/Channel Management solution category. UPMC won for its unique approach to servicing its broker community using Onyx's Broker Portal. UPMC has realized profound ROI - increasing membership of its Medicare business by 1000 percent in nine months, increasing processing speed of its group enrollments by 50 percent, eliminating 50 percent of its full-time administrative staff, improving quote time from days to minutes, and improving relationships with its broker community with more personalized service. In the upcoming issue of CRM Magazine, Jo Agazzio, manager of commercial and Medicare sales for UPMC, says "we chose Onyx because we felt the company was concerned about its clients."

Onyx named #1 in the Mid-Market
CRM Market Leaders ranks the top five vendors in five categories based on a combination of weighted criteria, including revenue, revenue growth, market share, customer wins, and reputation for customer service. Onyx was named the leader for mid-market CRM.
