Onyx Software Showcases Customer Success at Gartner CRM Summit BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corp. (Nasdaq: ONXS), worldwide leader in successful CRM, today announced its roster of customers that will participate in Gartner's Fall CRM Summit, opening today in Chicago. Onyx will be highlighting five customers - UPMC Health Plan, Captaris Inc., The Seattle Mariners, Metavante Corp. and Suncorp - via presentations and case studies, culminating in the CRM Excellence Awards on Friday, Sept. 20. More than 700 business and IT executives are expected to attend this year's summit. "The theme of this year's summit is 'Journey From Liftoff to Payoff,' with a focus on deriving real value from CRM while building customer-centric organizations," said Ben Kiker, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Onyx Software. "We are thrilled to have five Onyx customers that embody this vision spotlighted at the summit." UPMC Health Plan, a market-leading healthcare network provider, will present its case study as a finalist in the Gartner CRM Excellence Awards. Ed McCallister, CIO of UPMC Health Plan will speak about its CRM initiative as it relates to Gartner's Eight Building Blocks of CRM Excellence, which include vision, strategy, customer experience and metrics. Final awards will be announced at the event, and selection of the winners will be based in part on input from the conference audience. Captaris, a leading provider of unified communications and mobile business solutions, will participate in a sales force automation panel titled "Is There a Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow?" John Nordin, project manager for Captaris, will speak about the company's successful transition to the new world of technology-enabled selling. The panel will share real benefits and actual improvements of sales-effectiveness that each participating organization has experienced. The Seattle Mariners will lead an educational session that will focus on how the Mariners use Onyx to enhance baseball fans' experience, with an eye toward improving the organization's bottom line. Larry Witherspoon, vice president of Technology Services for the Mariners will discuss the critical need for an enterprisewide view of customers' interactions with the organization, a responsive customer service approach and personal attention to detail.
