Onyx Japan Signs Reseller Agreement with NEC Nexsolutions BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corp. (Nasdaq: ONXS), worldwide leader in successful CRM, today announced that its Japanese joint venture with Softbank Investment Corporation and Prime Systems Corporation, Onyx Software Co., Ltd., has signed a Reseller Agreement with NEC Nexsolutions, Ltd., in which NEC Nexsolutions will distribute Onyx Enterprise CRM in Japan. NEC Nexsolutions is a leading system integration and IT service provider and is part of the leading IT conglomeration NEC Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, NEC Nexsolutions will resell Onyx Enterprise CRM, as well as provide maintenance and product support to their customers in Japan. One of the key tenets of the agreement is the bundling of Onyx Enterprise CRM with NEC Nexsolutions's computer telephony integration (CTI)/call center product line, called iView Kobo Series. NEC Nexsolutions has recognized the demand for CRM solutions and plans to draw on its concentrated knowledge of call center businesses to promote Onyx Enterprise CRM. The joint solution allows NEC Nexsolutions and Onyx Japan to offer a product that not only automates and improves the efficiency of front-office tasks, but also more effectively manages communication with customers. According to NEC Nexsolutions, they chose Onyx due to its customer-centric data model, leading thin-client architecture, strong audience-facing portals and successful adoption across multiple departments within an enterprise. Additionally, Onyx's web services-enabled middle-tier, industry leading scalability and ease of integration were key differentiators in NEC Nexsolutions's decision to resell Onyx Enterprise CRM.
