Onyx Software Strengthens Executive Leadership Team BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corp. (Nasdaq: ONXS), a worldwide leader in successful CRM, today announced it has appointed Ben Kiker as its senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Kiker replaces interim marketing vice president Bill Bunker, who has been named vice president of Onyx's financial services vertical market. Kiker will lead the company's global marketing team, where he will be responsible for Onyx's corporate and marketing strategy, including product management and marketing, corporate marketing, demand generation, public and analyst relations, and vertical marketing. Kiker's career spans more than 14 years in the enterprise applications industry, including executive leadership positions for both public and venture-backed companies. In the CRM industry specifically, Kiker served as vice president of corporate marketing for Clarify Inc., a global provider of customer relationship management and e-business solutions. Kiker was a member of the management team that led Clarify's growth into the No. 2 position in the highly competitive CRM market. During his tenure, revenues grew from $80 million (U.S.) to more than $200 million (U.S.). Before working at Clarify, Kiker served as director of Field Marketing for The Vantive Corp., another provider of CRM software in the early 1990s. Before Vantive, Kiker served as director of Brand Marketing for Octel Communications, one of the world's largest providers of voice messaging products and services. In this role, he managed marketing programs, marketing communications and public relations for Octel's $350 million (U.S.) global business solutions division. Kiker began his career with Aspect Communications, one of the pioneers in customer service call center technology. Bill Bunker will lead Onyx's financial services vertical market and continue to serve on Onyx's executive management team. In his new role, he will be responsible for all financial services activities at Onyx including sales, business development, alliance development and product management. Financial services is one of the most successful vertical markets for Onyx, and Bunker's appointment to this position furthers the company's investment in this industry. Onyx has more than 150 customers in the financial services sector including Credit Suisse First Boston, ASB Bank, SAFECO Corp., RHB Bank, Dreyfus Corp., Prudential Financial and American Express. Onyx has developed relationships with companies such as Microsoft Corp. and IBM Corp. to provide comprehensive, customer-focused solutions specific to financial services. The company also works with vertical service providers such as Metavante Corp. to provide hosted CRM services to community bank and investment management institutions. As a five-year Onyx veteran, Bunker drove the company's product and corporate strategy, including its shift to a Web-based CRM product suite. In addition, he helped drive key decisions that have positioned the company to seize leadership in the burgeoning market for Web services-enabled CRM. Before joining Onyx, Bunker worked for Apple Computer Inc., International Finance Corp. and Booz Allen & Hamilton. While with Booz Allen & Hamilton, Bunker was a member of the financial services team and provided executive-level advice to leading international financial institutions.
