July 12, 2001 Onyx Software Bolsters Sales Leadership With Addition of Brad McCoy and Dave Self Sales Professionals in Financial Services and Health Care Industries to Enhance Onyx's Capabilities in Key Vertical Markets
BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corporation (NASDAQ: ONXS) has strengthened its sales leadership with the appointment of Brad McCoy as vice president of financial services. Joining him as Onyx's new director of health care sales is industry veteran Dave Self. Together, the two bring years of experience and proven expertise to their respective fields, enabling Onyx to broaden its penetration of the financial services and health care industries.
McCoy, who possesses more than 10 years of experience in banking and financial services, was most recently the co-founder and managing director of RevenueLab, the sales and marketing strategy firm acquired by Onyx in January 2001. Leveraging his revenue acceleration and go-to-market sales strategies, McCoy will look to maximize Onyx's key partnerships with Microsoft and others to jointly deliver customer relationship management (CRM) solutions to a greater number of financial services customers.

Prior to co-founding RevenueLab, McCoy led a division of Wells Fargo. In 1997, at the age of 29, he was promoted to senior vice president of Wells Fargo. Most recently, McCoy served as Southern California division manager of Wells Fargo's Premier Business Banking Group, where he was responsible for the company's largest and most diverse small business market.
As director of health care sales at Onyx, Self is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to further increase Onyx's penetration of the broad health care market. He comes to Onyx from The Regence Group, an affiliation of Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield companies in the Northwest and Intermountain states. He held a variety of high-level sales positions with the Blues over a period of 11 years.

Most recently, Self held the position of vice president of sales and marketing for Regence BlueShield of Idaho and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah, where combined revenues for the year 2000 exceeded $1 billion. The two companies are part of The Regence Group, which also includes Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon and Regence BlueShield (in Washington). He played a lead role in driving e-business initiatives within The Regence Group.
