Netpodium Inc. Selects Onyx Front Office for Sales, Marketing and Service

Leading Provider of Live, Interactive Web Event Technology and Services Selects Enterprise Wide Customer Relationship Management Solution

Bellevue, WA - Onyx Softwareâ Corporation (NASDAQ: ONXS) today announced that Netpodium Inc. has chosen Onyx Front Office as its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution. Onyx Front Office will be used across the Netpodium organization in sales, marketing and service and will be extended to the Internet to manage all prospect, customer and partner relationships. Netpodium, based in Seattle, is a leader in Web-based interactive communications that supports audiences of 20 to 2,000 in a live virtual venue.

Looking for the Right Solution: Internet Integration Needed

In April 1999, Netpodium outgrew its existing contact management system and started searching for a more advanced customer relationship management system. In evaluating CRM products, Netpodium looked for key factors that would enable enterprise wide communication and allow employees to track and analyze customer and prospect relationships across sales and marketing. Netpodium wanted a product that could grow with the organization, take advantage of the Internet, offer complete reporting and forecasting functionality and ultimately integrate to the company's own Web broadcasting products. Enterprise Wide Automation of Sales, Marketing and Service

With Onyx Front Office, Netpodium will be able to accurately measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and determine the best lead sources. Netpodium can then use this data to accurately allocate marketing budgets. Through the reporting functionality in Onyx Front Office, employees will be able to analyze the sales pipeline and build accurate forecasts that are critical to operational budgeting.

Additionally, through Onyx's Web interfaces, Netpodium will extend the sales and marketing functionality of Onyx to its Web site in order to capture leads on-line as prospects register for Netpodium broadcasts. Because of the immediacy of Onyx's Web technology, Netpodium sales people can immediately act on these leads while prospects are still on their site. This extension will allow Netpodium to provide improved promotion, registration and follow up for their Netpodium Internet broadcasts.
