Onyx Software Supports Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and Microsoft Office XP
Onyx Partner STAR Information Technology Provides Integration for Rapid Deployment of Joint Solution

Bellevue, Wash. - Onyx Software Corporation (NASDAQ: ONXS) and Onyx partner and leading e-business integrator STAR Information Technology have integrated the Onyx suite of business-building, enterprise-class customer relationship management (CRM) solutions with Microsoft® SharePoint® Portal Server and Microsoft Office XP, enabling Onyx customers to immediately take advantage of the powerful communication and collaboration functionality in the new Microsoft products. The announcement was made in conjunction with the launch of SharePoint Portal Server and Office XP.

Customer information captured in Onyx will be instantly accessible to users through SharePoint Portal Server and Office XP. Working with Microsoft and Onyx, STAR Information Technology converted the Onyx Employee Portal interface into Web Parts that can be plugged into the Digital Dashboard of Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, providing a personalized interface that can be configured for easy access to the information and functionality that front office users require. STAR Information Technology has also created Smart Tags to standard elements in the Onyx solution including company contact, demographics, sales and support incidents and search capability, making this information easily available for viewing and editing from within Office XP applications.
