Nov 6, 2001 Onyx Software Congratulates World Champion Arizona Diamondbacks 2001 Champion Reaches and Wins World Series in Record Time, Also Uses Onyx Software to Enhance Relationships with Fans
BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corporation (NASDAQ: ONXS), a global supplier of customer relationship management (CRM) enterprise applications, today congratulated one of its premier sports franchise customers - the Arizona Diamondbacks - on its success in winning the 2001 Major League Baseball World Series in record time. The Diamondbacks have also successfully implemented its CRM solution from Onyx Software, using it to drive sales, increase revenue, maximize marketing and sponsorship campaigns, and improve customer service and support.

The owners of the Diamondbacks and Phoenix Suns basketball team selected the Onyx CRM platform because of Onyx's extensive experience and track record in the realm of professional sports. As Onyx has done for customers including the Portland Trailblazers, Anaheim Angels, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners, it is providing the Suns and Diamondbacks a 360-degree view of their customers, allowing them to implement targeted marketing efforts that strengthen loyalty.

The Suns and Diamondbacks are employing Onyx's Web-based flagship portal product, Onyx Employee Portal, to automate sales tracking and leads, execute targeted marketing campaigns, track marketing inventory and literature fulfillment, and manage sponsorships. Onyx also provides support for detailed customer analysis and reporting. Through the Onyx Customer Portal, the teams will offer Web-based customer service and Web self-service, as well as personalized Web-based marketing.
Another Onyx customer - the Seattle Mariners - narrowly missed going to this year's World Series and equaled the MLB record for most wins during the regular season, matching the mark set by the Chicago Cubs in 1906.
