Onyx Software Attains Perfect Score in Microsoft-Sponsored Industry Solution Award Finals

Customer Solutions that Highlight Use of Onyx Employee Portal and Comprehensive e-Business Platform Named Finalists in Every Category Entered

BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx Software Corp. (Nasdaq: ONXS), a global provider of customer-centric e-business solutions, today announced it has been selected as the only three-category finalist in this year's prestigious Microsoft Industry Solution Awards (ISA), securing a slot in Best Customer Relationship Portal Solution, Best Integrated Customer Relationship Management/eBusiness Solution and Best Customer Service Solution. The ISA awards are designed to recognize the industry's best solutions utilizing Microsoft technology - specifically Windows® 2000 Server, Windows NT® Server and SQL ServerTM - to help organizations serve customers, manage information and make informed, effective business decisions.

Onyx's finalist status is based on the success of three customers - Jetform Corp. (Nasdaq: FORM, TSEK: JFM), ByeByeNOW.com and Columbine JDS Systems Inc. - who have each deployed an integrated solution to enhance traditional and online customer relationships, and expand relationship management outside their organization's four walls.

The Microsoft Industry Solution Awards competition is the premier forum for software vendors to showcase excellence on the Microsoft platform. The awards are based on rigorous business and technical criteria, and real-life customer solutions are judged by industry experts and analysts under the supervision of Janet Church and Associates, an independent consulting firm hired by Microsoft to maintain fairness and excellence in application and judging standards. The winners will be announced at Comdex on Nov. 14, 2000.

ByeByeNOW.com a "click to bricks" provider of vacation travel, was named a finalist in the Best Customer Relationship Portal Solution category, which recognizes the best enterprise portal for employees, partners and customers that provides integrated and personalized functionality across sales, marketing and service. Using Onyx Employee Portal, ByeByeNOW.com has been able to sell to and service prospects and customers across multiple channels, as well as provide a method for franchise partners and call center employees to share inquires and leads.

Jetform, a developer of Web-based software solutions that automate business processes, is a finalist in the category for Best Integrated Customer Relationship Management/e-Business Solution, which looks for the best overall integrated suite of sales, marketing and service applications that provide a complete, integrated Web-based CRM/eBusiness solution. Jetform has implemented Onyx 2000 in more than 10 countries, pulling together independent silos of customer information.

Columbine JDS, a provider of systems, software and consulting services to automate purchasing of electronic and digital media, is a finalist for Best Customer Service Solution, which aims to find the best solution showing that scalable call center technology can increase customer satisfaction and customer retention, making customer service reps more efficient and productive.
