Oct 26, 00 Large Enterprise Sales Fuel Onyx Software Record Q3 Results CEO interviewed Wednesday on CEOCast
Bellevue, Wash. - Onyx Software (Nasdaq: ONXS) President & CEO Brent Frei was interviewed Wednesday on CEOcast (www.ceocast.com) where he addressed the company's record revenue growth and growth strategy for delivering Internet-based relationship management solutions to large enterprises.
"Onyx continues to make significant inroads into the enterprise. What's impressive is the number of license sales in excess of one million dollars," said interviewer Michael Wachs. Onyx reported 63 customer wins in the third quarter, with four of them more than million-dollar deals. The company recorded $32.8 million in revenues in Q3, 108 percent growth over the same quarter last year. Pro forma net income for the quarter was $0.02 per share on a fully-diluted basis.
Q3 2000 marks the seventh quarter in a row that Onyx has exceeded analyst expectations on both the top and bottom lines.
"Some strategic differentiations that give us an advantage in this market. One is the integrated nature of our software and the fact that it's Web-architected which allows us to sell deals in the mid market, where there are about 400,000 companies that are potential targets as well as in the high end which is one of the areas that we've had a lot more traction in recently," said Onyx's Frei. "Deployment, management and customization of our software is very cost effective. In today's Internet-speed economy, if you can't change your business systems at the rate at which your business strategy changes you're at the wrong end of the game. That is a major advantage for us."
Also highlighted in the interview is Onyx Software's growth strategy, recent deals with Softbank and IBM resellers, the company's vertical expertise and the outlook for the customer relationship management and e-business sector, which is projected by industry analyst firm Aberdeen Group to grow to $43 billion by 2003.
