Therapy Focus selects Onyx CRM "Value for money was important in our decision in choosing a CRM provider so we made sure we did our homework. As a not-for-profit organisation we only receive money of an operational, not a capital, nature." said Brian Chapman, Business Manager, Therapy Focus. "We worked alongside Kilarney Consulting to find a vendor that was able to provide a tailored solution that not only met our budget requirements, but would be easy to manage and operate, fast to implement and flexible to our needs. We also wanted to work with a company that was able to provide on-the-ground local after-sale service." Mr Chapman added, "We had heard of 'budget blow-out' and 'failure to deliver' horror stories from other health organisations that had implemented IT solutions, so we wanted to be 100 percent confident in our decision. Onyx was clearly the vendor of choice over three other vendors." Before Onyx was implemented, Therapy Focus operated on a paper and file transfer basis, whereby a therapist who was assigned a particular child would request his or her file to be sent from the head office to determine requirements prior to an appointment. By putting this information online, therapists are now able to make secure online case notes on the child they are reviewing, keep a record of hours spent providing therapy, and provide reports to parents and stakeholders. When scoping the solution and implementation plan, Onyx and Kilarney worked with Therapy Focus's key stakeholders and staff to determine expectations and deliverables up front. Once approval was granted by Lotteries (responsible for funding the project) in late August 2002, the consulting team obtained feedback and made all the relevant changes to the solution. A second session was held for the users, and then, based on their feedback, revisions were completed. The solution was tailored, installed, tested and went live in December 2002. "Therapy Focus has been using Onyx for only two months, and they are already experiencing CRM success in terms of time-saving and real-time access to client records," said Basil Reilly, Vice President, Onyx Software Australia. "The successful implementation highlights the strength of Onyx as a CRM player in Australia and its ability to provide a flexible CRM solution that can be utilised in any work environment."
