Onyx Software Ships Third Generation of Award-Winning, Thin-Client CRM Portal
Onyx Employee Portal 3.0 leverages new open, Internet-native architecture to provide rich CRM functionality, seamless integration and deep customization capabilities

BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx Software Corporation (NASDAQ: ONXS) today announced the latest release of Onyx Employee Portal (OEP). One of three audience-specific, Web-based, thin-client portals in the Onyx Enterprise 2001 Suite of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, it maximizes the effectiveness of front office employees by combining robust CRM functionality with complementary third-party applications and relevant Internet content in a single, customizable interface.

Onyx released the first version of OEP nearly two years ago and has received several industry awards for the thin-client solution including the Microsoft Industry Solution Award for "Best CRM Portal Solution." To date, more than 300 customers worldwide have purchased OEP including Airborne Express, ASB Bank, CommerceOne, Metavante and The Regence Group.

OEP 3.0 leverages Onyx Enterprise Application Server (OEAS), the company's new XML-based integration and customization platform, to deliver industry-leading scalability and extensibility. Built entirely on standard Internet technologies, OEAS enables large enterprises to deploy and maintain high-performance, fully-customized Internet-based CRM systems in less time and at a much lower cost than required with traditional client-server solutions.
