Unisys and Onyx Software Sign Global Alliance Agreement

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Onyx® Software Corp. (Nasdaq: ONXS) today announced it has signed a global alliance agreement with Unisys Corp. (NYSE: UIS). Unisys further announced its support for Onyx Enterprise CRM 4.0, the latest generation of Onyx’s Internet-architected customer relationship management (CRM) suite.

The two companies will work together to deliver a complete customer relationship management solution comprising Onyx’s CRM suite running on the Unisys Enterprise Server ES7000. This marketing alliance offers flexible, reliable and scalable CRM solutions to companies in a variety of industries and geographies.

The Unisys ES7000 provides essential capabilities required for enterprise-class computing that are well known to users of large-scale computers, but less familiar to users in computing environments using Microsoft and Intel technology. It is the industry’s only server to take advantage of the 32-processor scalability provided by the Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server operating system.

Onyx and Unisys are already jointly targeting specific opportunities globally that require an Onyx CRM/ES7000 solution. As part of the alliance agreement, the two companies will engage in co-marketing opportunities where appropriate.

The relationship extends in part from a recently conducted CRM scalability performance benchmarking test, in which results exceeded the expectations of both companies. Running on Unisys Enterprise Server ES 7000, Onyx’s flagship product — the Onyx Employee Portal — supported 57,000 simulated concurrent users and performed an average of 15,130 transactions per minute, while sustaining average user response times of approximately 0.33 seconds.
