Onyx Software Congratulates Gartner CRM Excellence Award Finalist UPMC Health Plan
Premier Healthcare Organization's Onyx Implementation Drives Competitive Advantage While Delivering Outstanding Customer Service
BELLEVUE, Wash. - Onyx® Software Corp. (Nasdaq: ONXS) today congratulated UPMC Health Plan for being selected as a finalist in the upcoming Gartner CRM Excellence Awards. UPMC was selected as a finalist based on how well its CRM implementation met stringent criteria determined by the Gartner CRM analyst community.

Onyx counts more than two dozen major healthcare payer organizations as customers and has key partnerships with IBM Corp. and Deloitte & Touche LLP focused on the healthcare market. UPMC's successful implementation of Onyx Enterprise CRM mirrors the experience of other Onyx customers:

UPMC's implementation included the Onyx Broker Portal - a tailored, healthcare-specific version of Onyx Partner Portal. UPMC's broker portal includes a rating wizard, a healthcare-focused feature that enables UPMC to generate quotes nearly instantaneously during the proposal process. UPMC estimates that this functionality will speed group enrollment processes by up to 75 percent and convert a higher percentage of preliminary quotes into executed contracts, thereby adding to the company's bottom line.
UPMC is one of three finalists in the small to midsize enterprise category of the CRM Excellence Awards. Along with the other finalists, UPMC will present its story at the Gartner CRM Summit in Chicago Sept. 20. Selection of the winners will be based in part on input from the conference audience. In addition to UPMC, other Onyx customers in financial services, entertainment and technology will be featured at the summit.
