OGCbuying.solutions grows revenue with Onyx
Onyx improves process efficiency and service, and drives increased customer spend

London, UK - 21st November 2005 - Onyx Software (Nasdaq: ONXS) announced today that Onyx Customer ManagementTM has helped OGCbuying.solutions, the trading arm of the Office of Government Commerce, in the growth of customer spend of more than 60% from £1.3bn to £2.1bn in 2 years, and assisted in the delivery of £320 million savings for the taxpayer during 2004, while at the same time improving the efficiency of their customer management processes.

Following the merger of The Buying Agency (TBA) and the Managed Services division of the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA), the newly formed OGCbuying.solutions faced the challenge of improving the level of service it offered to government departments and agencies. They chose Onyx Customer ManagementTM to bring together 14 existing customer databases into a single sustainable system that would integrate closely with data warehouse and helpdesk facilities. Because the solution is web-based, it allows employees to access customer information from any of Buying Solutions three offices, and also remotely. This enables more responsive and effective customer management as well as streamlined processes.

Laurence Barnett, Marketing Services Director at Buying Solutions explains: "We were won over by the demonstrations of Onyx Customer ManagementTM that we saw; its usability was superior to the alternatives we looked at. It had space to add extra fields as our needs evolved and the support costs are about 6% lower than those of its nearest rival".
