Marketing with Onyx
Through a combination of lecture, discussions and hands-on exercises, Marketing with Onyx training will equip marketing professionals with the skills required to best use the Onyx Employee Portal (OEP) - Web Client to plan, conduct and measure the success of their marketing programs.
This course will introduce the tools required to maximize the functionality in the Onyx Employee Portal - Web Client having the greatest impact on the Marketing department. In addition, End User components for the Marketing Power User will be covered, focusing on marketing processes and end user functionality.

For product demonstrations, the most current version of Onyx Employee Portal is used in Onyx University courses. Participants will use the most current version of Onyx Employee Portal in class.
Objective: Participants learn techniques enabling them to design, map, and configure their OEP solution to measure the success of their marketing efforts. OEP Administration tools to configure surveys, campaigns and literature items are used during this course.
Target audience: Business Analysts, Project Leads or Marketing Professionals responsible for managing Database Marketing, Direct Marketing, Events Marketing or Lead Generation/Tracking.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with basic Onyx Employee Portal - Web Client end user functionality is recommended.
Course Length: Three days, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Marketing with Onyx Overview
- Develop an understanding of the value Customer Relationship Management (CRM) provides to any organization.
- Discuss database information and collection methods
- Discuss best practices on how to maintain and use OEP Marketing functionality.
Onyx Employee Portal - User Interface
- Hands-on demonstrations and practice using the Onyx Employee Portal User Interface focusing on Campaigns, Literature Items, Surveys, Sales Opportunities, List Management and Reports.
Database Integrity
- Discuss best practices and techniques for maintenance and cleansing of the OEP database
- Develop strategies for database segmentation and analysis
Marketing Processes
- Map current Marketing processes into OEP functionality for database marketing, lead tracking and evaluating program success.
- Hands on workshop to design, map and implement a current marketing program specific to an organization using Campaigns
Onyx Configuration for Marketing
- Understand how to configure Literature, Surveys and Campaigns using the Onyx Enterprise Studio (OES).
Reporting
- Overview of different reporting software applications
- Discussion of data and requirements to generate marketing campaign effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) reports
