Professional Services Implementation Methodology

From the start, Onyx Professional Services engages your staff in thorough, methodical planning to define all project requirements, specifications, tasks and deliverables. Although each CRM project is unique, the basic approach is the same—our implementation methodology ensures that nothing is overlooked. We develop a clearly defined communication plan to keep everyone involved on course—any issues or concerns are quickly addressed throughout the process.

Business Planning
Onyx Strategic Services consultants help you build a solid CRM and business strategy so you can get the most out of your technology investment. We provide the business expertise, methodology, and tools that guide you through critical business-planning processes during two highly focused workshops or "labs": Onyx DecisionLabTM and Onyx DesignLabTM.

Needs Assessment
Onyx consultants work closely with your staff to understand your organization's business and technical needs. Our goal is to determine project success criteria, define high-level project phases and components, and estimate the level of investment required to successfully implement your Onyx system. The results of our needs assessment are reflected in a preliminary project scope document.

Business and System Modeling
Onyx consultants map key business workflows and system requirements to accurately establish your project's scope, schedule and costs. We also determine the priority and complexity of any required integration work. As your solution is finalized and preliminary designs and configurations completed, the project transitions into the configuration stage.

System Configuration
Onyx consultants install your new software, then implement and test any customizations and integrations with legacy systems. Data from legacy or other systems is migrated, reporting capabilities are implemented, and end-user training is initiated.

Deployment
Onyx consultants validate that all success criteria outlined in the project plan have been satisfied. During the deployment stage, Onyx Professional Services also works with your team to train end-users on your new system. When complete, your Onyx solution—installed and configured to work the way you do—becomes operational. With custom courseware tailored to your business processes, combined with end-user training and go-live support and coaching, your entire team will be ready to take full advantage of your new CRM system.
